This is a shot of Diwan-E-Aam or hall of public audience part of the Fatehpur Sikri complex which was the old Moghul capital founded in 1569 by the Emperor Akbar. We took a guided tour around the old capital Fatehpur Sikri which I recommend as its hard to decipher what you are looking at sometimes. The Diwan-E-Aam is one of the first major buildings you come across when entering the site. I was in awe of the architecture which Akbar had a lot of influence over during building borrowing from both Indian and Moghul architecture.
I’ll be posting from my journey from Agra to Jaipur this week on the blog. So stay tuned and enjoy!
