My travel photography gear, I try to stay as light and minimalist as possible because I have to hump it around while travelling. My budget was quite constrained when it came to purchasing lenses so I’ve tried to cover the full range of what I might need as cheap as possible while keeping the lenses to a minimal with a view to upgrade some of the lenses and possibly buy more in the future. I’m also considering a smaller mirrorless body as a back-up like the Sony A6000.
Camera
I recently (mid 2015) switched to Sony from Nikon. I previously was shooting with the Nikon D810 which I loved but found it just a little too big and heavy for longer hikes. I now shoot with the Sony A7 RII or Sony ILCE-7RM2 (buy from Amazon.) It’s a great camera for me relatively small and light with great quality images.
